Our visit with Jack & Sandy

The highlight of our stay in Wells, ME was getting to visit our good friends, Jack & Sandy. We got to spend most of the day with them and tour all around Wells, Kennebunkport, and Ogumquit.

This is the view from our campground. We were right on the ocean and the houses you see are on the beach.

Jack & Sandy. Very special people!

The Wedding Cake house.

The Bush house. When the Texas flag is flying, they're home. It was flying and we think we saw George riding around on his golf cart.

Lobster boats come to this dock and these are some of their traps.
Some of these are lobster boats. The fishermen ride out on a dingy and secure the dingy to their dock and take the lobster boats out. The lobster boats aren't really big, about 25 feet is all.
All these buoys indicate which fisherman owns the traps. They are each unique and the fishermen know whose are whose.

I took this from the bridge across Perkin's Cove. I just think these little seaport towns are very quaint and picturesque.

This is Perkin's Cove. It's the most photographed cove in Maine. It's a protected cove so usually lots of boats in the water.

The lighthouse at Ogumquit. What a neat lighthouse. It's actually on an island, but very close to shore so it was easy to get a close-up picture. What a neat day we had, I took other pictures, but these are the highlights.
