The Purple Heart Museum was a really cool place to visit. We did find out we need to submit Floyd's name so we got the paperwork so we can submit the needed documents.

The Purple Heart Museum is located here because this is where George Washington gave the first award. What a beautiful setting.

Hasbrouck House was Washington's Headquarters on the Hudson. He had his headquarters here longer than any other location. Judy said Carol Hasbrouck said the owners of this house were her ancestors. It's a bit smaller than Hasbrouck house in Nampa! Pretty cool house with hand hewn beams in the floor and ceiling.

Judy and I in the front of the Hasbrouck House. We had such a good time touring and visiting with Judy and Leon while we were in Newburgh!

Howard and Leon going into the West Point Museum. We spent lots of time going through this. They have lots of arms and uniforms through the ages. Lots of history of the United States, not just West Point.

This is what West Point looks like from the bank of the Hudson River. It looks like the buildings come right out of the rock!

This shot really shows the building sitting right on the rock.

If you look center right there is a dark spot that is the train tunnel. The train travels under West Point for a long way from this point until the other side of the play fields.

What a beautiful view and what a fun time we had!

Judy said they have really good plays and concerts here. I thought looking at the location they'd have to be good because the competition of scenery is really something!

During the Revolutionary War the chain in the middle was put across the river to keep the British from coming up river and splitting New England off from the rest of the colonies.

As we came back into the RV Park after dinner on Wednesday, we got behind 5, that's FIVE, Prevost coaches! We knew something was going on, but we weren't sure who it was. When I went walking this morning I got to speak with one of the guys on one of the busses. He said they had 16 wrestlers on the busses and they were on their way to Albany for a show.
