Eagle at dog place.

This eagle comes to visit daily at 1 and 4. Pretty cool! I also got a video of all the dogs barking and howling, but couldn't get it to upload.

Chicken to Tok

Paved road!
Beautiful views
Lots of hills
The guys helped wash rigs at the campground in Tok. Tomorrow we head to Valdez.

Chicken, Alaska

Dirty car after Top of the World Highway. It was more like a forest service road instead of a highway.
Sod roof keeps minors warmer.
High school students in Homer made the chicken and brought it to Chicken on a truck.
Downtown Chicken.

Dawson City to Chicken

We took a ferry across the Yukon River at Dawson Creek. Yes, it was an adventure. The river is wide with a strong current, but it's the only way to Chicken!
Clouds over the valley.
Top of the World Highway is beautiful.
U.S. Border crossing.
Still top of the world!
Beautiful river valley.

Dawson City, YT

This is where all the Klondike gold seekers were headed. We had a great time here.
Buildings were taxed by the frontage space so they built back.
The bar in town.
We had dinner at Diamond Tooth Gerties.
These are guys from our group dancing the Can Can with the girls. The girl on the far left is Stephanie from Winnipeg!

Whitehorse to Dawson City

Beautiful drive from Whitehorse to Dawson City. Not as good road as Alcon Highway.

Dog sled teams at Whitehorse

We drove out of Whitehorse to a home way off the grid where they train dogs for dog sleds. They have 135 dogs. Neat animals!!
These are a few of the dogs Howard petted.

Whitehorse

The White Pass & Yukon RR used to come all the way to Whitehorse. There are lots of murals in town.
This mural is depicting the Fantastic Follies. We went to the show after we went out to dinner. Great show!
One block of downtown Whitehorse.

Watson Lake to Whitehorse

Beautiful country and lots of it! Whitehorse with a population of about 30,000 has 2/3 of all the population of Yukon Territories!!
Our first caribou!

Watson Lake

Thousands of signs!! The first one was put up by a homesick soldier in 1942
Putting up our sign. Our names are now on a board in Watson Lake

Laird Hot Springs to Watson Lake

Just after we left the park -- more buffalo.
Beautiful country
We crossed from British Columbia into Yukon Territories and back seven times.

Laird Hot Springs

Beautiful setting/LOTS of mosquitos!!
The hot springs.

Still on the road to Laird Hot Springs

Lots of construction!
The buffalo herd.

Whitehorse (We finally have good wifi!)

Black bear right by highway.
Tests River Seevices has the best cinnamon buns! Of course we stopped.
Stone Mountain and lots of trees.
Lots of water up here. Munchies Lake means lots of water.
These Stone Sheep were on the road in front of us. When we stopped they ran across the road and right by my side of the coach.
A bit later we drove by this herd (couldn't get it all in one shot.)
Just before the campground we passed a herd of buffalo.
